I bought these for my kids, who have thick hair. They love them. It minimizes frizz, and with regular use, does seem to help with oily scalp. My daughter’s scalp used to look oily 24 hours after a wash, and with brushing her scalp 2-3 times a day (for a minute or two, not a long time), it’s made a noticeable difference. It’s not my primary brush, but when I use one of theirs, I love the way it feels on my scalp, and it smoothes my hair. I can’t compare to a Mason & Pearson, as I’ve never used one, but this one is definitely better than a drugstore brush. Oh, and my daughter used to cry when having her hair brushed. She no longer does. It detangles gently and effectively.
